Indian Rappers Use Music to Raise Awareness About Climate Change
A new music project is taking the climate conversation beyond the usual news reports and environmental campaigns.
A report published by the Nigerian Television Authority on Tuesday looks at The Climate Emergency Mixtape, a project bringing Indian rappers together to address climate change through music in different languages.
One of the performers, Abisha, said that climate change is not widely discussed in her community. The project aims to reach people who may not normally engage with environmental information, using music and familiar cultural expressions to make the subject easier to approach.
It is an interesting example of musicians using their work to talk about an issue beyond entertainment. The longer-term impact remains to be seen, but the project shows how artists can introduce difficult subjects to new audiences.

Julia Stiles to Pay Tribute to Heath Ledger on Dancing with the Stars
The actress is preparing a dance in memory of her former co-star from the 1999 film 10 Things I Hate About You.
Julia Stiles is set to take part in the show's Dedication Night with professional dancer Ezra Sosa. Their contemporary routine is planned around Frankie Valli's "Can't Take My Eyes Off You", the song associated with Heath Ledger's memorable serenade in the film.
Stiles said that preparing the tribute brought back more emotion than she expected. Looking back at clips from the film and hearing Ledger's voice reminded her of their time working together. Ledger died in 2008, aged 28.
The connection to the original film is a large part of the story. For many viewers, the serenade remains one of its best-known scenes. The planned dance offers Stiles an opportunity to remember Ledger while revisiting a film that continues to find new audiences.
The episode is scheduled for Tuesday evening in the United States. Nigerian viewers should check local listings for broadcast or streaming availability.

Val Chmerkovskiy Suspended from Dancing with the Stars for One Week
A disagreement that began with a dance critique has spilled over onto social media, leading to disciplinary action against the professional dancer.
Entertainment Weekly reported on Monday that Chmerkovskiy would miss one episode of Dancing with the Stars after posting a controversial comment about judge Carrie Ann Inaba.
The dispute followed Inaba's criticism of a lift in a performance involving his wife, fellow professional dancer Jenna Johnson. Chmerkovskiy responded online with a reference interpreted as invoking the 2022 Oscars incident involving Will Smith and Chris Rock. He later apologised and acknowledged that his comment showed poor judgement.
Alan Bersten is due to fill in for him during the episode, dancing with Jenna Dewan. The incident has added another discussion to the season, this time about how performers handle criticism and respond publicly when they disagree with a judge.

Aliko Dangote Accepts Isbae U's Podcast Invitation
The comedian's invitation has opened the door to a possible conversation between the businessman and an online audience made up largely of younger viewers.
According to TheCable Lifestyle, Isbae U invited Dangote to appear on his show, Curiosity Made Me Ask, during a visit to the Dangote Refinery in Lagos on Monday.
Isbae U argued that many of Dangote's previous interviews had appeared on platforms that young Nigerians do not usually watch. He suggested that his show could provide a different way for the businessman to engage that audience.
Dangote accepted the invitation and spoke about the need for older Nigerians to share their experiences with younger people. The report did not give a confirmed release date for the proposed episode, so viewers will need to look out for an announcement from the show.
